100 Days of Nature 2026
When I started the 100 Days of Nature project several years ago, the idea was simple: get outside, slow down, pay attention, and photograph something in nature each day. I originally did it as a way of strengthening my own nature photography and finding something to be grateful for daily. But as the days went on, it became about so much more than just creating 100 photos.
It became a practice in noticing. Looking a little closer. Finding beauty in ordinary places. Paying attention to the flowers, insects, light, colors, and tiny details we might normally walk right past.
And the best part was getting to experience it alongside so many other photographers when I opened the project up to the community and invited other’s to join me!
Some completed all 100 days, some completed part of the project, and others simply came away with favorite images and new ways of seeing the world around them. There was never a requirement for perfection or even completion. The point was to show up, stay curious, and notice more.
Below, I'm sharing some of the beautiful work created throughout the project, along with reflections from the photographers themselves about what they discovered and learned along the way. ❤️

I’ve been doing this project for many years now, and I love how much I grow and evolve each year. This summer, I especially fell in love with finding and photographing insects, discovering this tiny world happening all around me that I had so often overlooked. I love the excitement of capturing wildlife along with flowers and the environment and how it has deepened my storytelling in nature.

I had the best time participating in “100 days of nature” this year. I love nature photography to begin with so being a part of a group of people who enjoy it too just makes it that much better! I got a lot out of spending time out in nature looking for the beauty! I looked forward each day to seeing everyone’s posts and since we all live in different areas, there was lots of diversity! This was a very fun challenge.

Taking part in the project for the first time has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I have regained confidence in my photography, I see more now than I ever did. Met some interesting people, have been introduced to new plants and flowers. I have an ever increasing list of new plants to grow, a truly inspirational experience. The project allowed me expand on what I have learned through Holly's online classes in both photography and post processing.

The 100 Days of Summer project gave me some much needed incentive to get outside of my comfort zone. It was wonderful to get inspired everyday from the amazingly talented women in the group. It cheered me up even on those tough days when my confidence was hard to find. So thank you Holly and all of the talented women in this group.

I loved how this project encouraged me to slow down and really look at the nature around me. Over 100 days I photographed a little of this and a little of that—flowers, birds, bugs, grasses, rain, landscapes and so many little details I might otherwise have passed by. Some days brought something spectacular, while other days challenged me to find the beauty in something ordinary, and I think that became one of my favorite parts of the project. I’m especially proud that I finished all 100 days. I attempted a 100-day project last year and didn’t make it to the end, so completing this one felt pretty special. I also loved seeing everyone else’s fabulous photographs and experiencing how differently each of us sees the natural world. The encouragement and support from the group made the whole experience even better. A huge thank you to Holly for bringing us all together and giving us a reason to keep looking, photographing and sharing.

This was my second year of 100 Days of Nature, and it’s still one of my favourite projects. I love the excuse to slow down and really notice what’s around me. This year, I found myself drawn to connections - in light, colour, flowers, and unexpected moments like a frog napping on a bloom. And of course, the inspiration and connection with other photographers along the way.

This was another amazing year for 100 days of Nature. I love this challenge because it gets me shooting and creating all the beauty around me more consistently. The community is so supportive and are a great source of inspiration and motivation to keep each other going. If you have thought about joining but worried about the commitment it’s all good because you can go at your own pace and do as much or as little as you can and we will all be there to support you!

I decided to try The Framed Focused 100 Day Nature Challenge this year. It was one of the best things I have ever done for my photography. I have been a photographer for my whole adult life and this challenge taught me to see things in a much different way. I learned to slow down and really think about what I wanted to capture daily. It also allowed me to be more consistent through my images and helped give me a voice and distinctive style. Being a part of this challenge got me out in nature to enjoy different parks and nature paths by my house. I even took my camera with my on two vacations and stayed consistent in posting everyday!
One of the best things about this challenge was the amazing community I found and am now a part of. It was so welcoming, engaging and most importantly encouraging.
I enjoyed the is challenge so much that I am continuing on my journey to see just how far I can get. I am aiming for 365 days of nature.

This was my third year doing this project and I’m glad I did it again! It’s such a good way to grow your skills and meet other wonderful artists, plus I found a bunch of new subjects on daily walks that I had never seen in previous years. It’s always time well spent!
