NOTE: This is a 2.0 level course and assumes you already have good working control of your flash off-camera in manual mode. If you are looking to learn OCF for the first time, please start with workshop, “OCF For Your Everyday,” instead.

This workshop is designed to bring the “wow factor” to your images, make you stand out as a photographer, get your creative juices flowing, and kick you out of any creative ruts you might find yourself in. We explore innovative ways to use your flash to create mood and tell stories, prompting you to think outside the box, and then equipping you with the tools and techniques to realize your vision.

We Cover:

• Creative Light Placement; 

• Creative Aperture and Shutter Speed; 

• Snoots and Gels; 

• Storytelling and Evoking Mood; 

• Techniques to Find Inspiration; 

• Analyzing Lighting and Images; 

• Lighting Groups; and 

• Using *Two OCFs Simultaneously (*2 flashes are not required for this course).

How does this “live workshop” work?

• The workshop materials are available for download and viewing the second you purchase! If you would like to get a head start, that’s highly encouraged! The live portion of the workshop only runs a couple of times per year, but anyone that has purchased the materials will automatically be invited to join the next forum when it opens for continued learning and 1:1 feedback with Laura.

• On Sunday, November 24, 2024, you will receive an email from laura.a.froese@gmail.com. Laura sends it from her personal email to help bypass any spam filters. That email will have your private forum link for the interactive component which runs from November 25 - December 8, 2024, where you will have:

  • unlimited Q&A and CC time with Laura,
