Immersed in Nature - Photographing the Wanderlust Child - with Samantha Deakin
In this course, Sam takes us through her thought process when faced with an unfamiliar location, and demonstrates how to stay calm as you think through your final image whilst also wrangling the kids. She shows us how we, as the memory keepers of the family, can use the equipment available to us and a variety of compositional techniques, perspectives, light, and colour to add magic to any scenario. Sam explains her sources of inspiration and reveals where you can go for unlimited and unique ideas, explaining in technical detail how to edit your images, making the most of the elements in the scene and telling an even deeper story.
This course is for you if:
You often find the balance between being “mum” and “photographer” difficult to manage and you would like tips on how to enjoy the outdoors with both the kids AND your camera.
You’d like ideas on how to engage your outdoorsy child, or indeed tempt them away from their devices, in a fun (and photogenic way).
You’re a beginner/intermediate photographer looking for an easy to understand introduction to the different elements to consider when photographing your child in nature.
You want to learn how to add some extra magic to your images. Sam will show you how you can make images that are visually compelling with strong storytelling elements.
You fancy having some fun experimenting with different angles and perspectives but don’t know where to start.
You’re keen to explore the natural world and push the boundaries of your creativity.
